Tammera Race


Tammera Race is the Systems, Metadata, and Assessment Librarian at the Jane Bancroft Cook Library, New College of Florida. She earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from New College, an M.S. in Horticultural Science (with a minor in Wetland Science) from the University of Florida, and an M.L.I.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her experiences in plant conservation and information science have led to her appreciation for accidental discovery. Her publications include “Accidental Information Discovery: Cultivating Serendipity in the Digital Age” (2016, with Stephann Makri).
