Min is a recognized world leader in the field of applied creativity with years of experience in building creative thinking, innovations and problem solving capabilities across organizations. His research-based work is noted for its applicability and scalability within organizations of all kinds.
     Educated in organizational psychology and engineering physics, Min began refining his insights about applied creativity at Procter & Gamble while working with teams developing new products and helping senior management engage employees at all levels in cost & profit improvement.
     Min has written many great books and he and his associates at Basadur Applied Creativity work with clients worldwide in the fields of aerospace, health, finance, software, microelectronics, telecommunications, food and beverage, publishing, energy, retail, manufacturing, e-commerce & more.

Marcia teaches creatively and fulltime at Webber International University in the area of computers and business statistics and online in the IT department for SouthUniversity Online. Marcia has a wonderful time living and learning and applying the many concepts learned from everywhere. She has presented a variety of e-Creativity sessions for both education and business. Robert Alan Black, Ph.D.

Saturday, 3:00 - Graphic Note Taking/Making

Alan (Robert Alan Black, Ph.D. CSP) has been drawing since birth.  He drew before he could speak. He drew on walls of his bedroom until his mom stopped him and gave him paper. In school he was the kid who did all the hallway art. He went on to earn 3 college degrees in art and design out of 5 he began plus two degrees in education out of 3 he began and has worked as a licensed architect, cartoonist, graphic, interior and industrial designer, as well as, a college professor teaching design and drawing at the Univ of Ga.  For the past 25 years he has been a creative thinking consultant and trainer who travels around the world to teach and learn while having a lot of fun with new friends. he Since 1964 has been learning from many fields how to create visual ideas and solve problems graphically.  

 

Alan says: I have spent most of the past 32 years focused on learning and helping myself and others to recognize their natural creativity and to develop skills and knowledge about how to become DELIBERATELY CREATIVE. I have been an eclectic learner and teacher exploring and working in many fields. The common threads to my 47 jobs in 8 fields in the past 48 years are....

1. I am an obsessed visual person
2. I love to design and draw
3. I love to help people grow

Now at the age of 64 I am integrating all of my life to focus on my truly strongest gifts: being creative by choice, growing drawing skills and love of helping.

Francine is a former Trainer, HR Director, Educator, and Consultant. Her doctorate and research interests and studies are in  Organizational Leadership and Change.  Francine has taught Organizational Leadership and Change at Purdue University, University of Wisconsin, Dominican University, Keller Graduate School of Management and most recently, Argosy University. Over the past 30 years Francine has been involved in the design and development of leadership workshops, seminars, team dynamics and organizational assessments for corporate and not-for-profit organizations..   Currently, Francine is the President of the USA UNIFEM National Committee's Sarasota Chapter and serves as a board member in numerous Community organizations in Sarasota. 
 
Anne Dennehy, M.Ed.
    
Saturday, 10:45: Creative Cognitive Fitness, and Fun
Anne has created and conducted workshops, seminars, presentations and retreats on humor, public speaking, stress, creativity, and various other topics for government and private organizations, colleges, training centers, churches, and other non-profit associations over the past 13 years. A few years ago, she became interested in the possible prevention of Alzheimer’s disease when she learned about a study on elderly nuns who were dying virtually free of the disease.  On studying this topic in more depth, Anne discovered that striving to be creative can keep the brain young and healthy and possibly help prevent Alzheimer’s, and she is excited and motivated to get this message out. Art Emrich has been working successfully with groups and individuals as a coach, advisor, and facilitator for over 40 years – helping them to achieve more than they thought possible.  First in the U.S. Air Force, then with Dupont, retiring as Corporate Manager of Human Development, and more recently with Kanbay as U. S. Vice President of Learning and Culture, Art is devoted to bringing new approaches and discoveries about how to succeed to individuals and businesses.  

He has extensive global experience, having introduced a variety of breakthrough learning interventions for many years in the US, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, UK, Asia, India, Australia, and New Zealand.  Art is the co-developer of Targeted Development, a Dupont “Best Practice” on how to manage a career in a large corporate environment during turbulent times. He is active in ASTD, Greater Sarasota Coaches Alliance, and founder of U-Solutions, LLC, Coaching for Success.

As executive director of the Center for Executive Leadership and Change (Daemon College, Amhurst, NY), John developed and directs the innovative master’s degree program. He is active with Leadership Buffalo and is an adjunct professor at the International Center for Studies in Creative Leadership (Buffalo State College). His doctorate is in education. A proud father and husband, John strives for creative, respectful and healthy balance in life.

Bobbi is a Master Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF), and has been coaching, training and providing assessment work for more than two decades. She is President of The Gemma Group and an Associate with the Pyramid Resource Group, the first dedicated coaching company in the country. She is very active and involved in International Coach Federation (ICF) and American Society of Training and Development(ASTD) and a Certified Humor Presenter.

Her background includes project management within non-profits, universities, corporations and outplacement services. Her clients include corporate leaders, new managers, entrepreneurs, and women dealing with life and professional transitions and overwhelm. She has been a guest on radio and television talk shows, is a speaker for national and regional conferences. She is the author of Thought Bites, Wisdoms and Other Funky Stuff – a guided journal and a chapter titled Laughter in   ….ing; Life in Action by DJ Mitsch and Company.

Jane Goldwasser is President of New Directions Consulting, Inc. a qualitative research company specializing in new product development. In her spare time, she is on the Board of Directors of a newly re-aligned Girl Scout Council and chairs both their Fund Development and Board Development committees. She is a CPSI alum who,  having completed the Integrating Creative Leadership program, has put it to work in leading both PACE sessions and in working with CPSI Youthwise™.

All Day Friday: Bringing the Pieces Together: Discovering pathways to creativity, personal growth, and community through Collage
Christina Gonzalez is a licensed mental health counselor and educator. She has been involved with education at many different levels and has been very active in the mental health and education fields in both the United States and in Mexico. Her work has encompassed many aspects of the mental health field including prevention, intervention, immigrant psychology, child welfare, substance abuse, disaster intervention, and much more. She currently works full time with children involved in the child welfare system due to abuse, abandonment, or neglect, and also teaches college courses in college writing, behavioral sciences/psychology, and health and human services administration. She also does professional editing, writing, and loves applications of research, focus groups, and program evaluation techniques to programs that make a difference for others in ways that can help bring the voices of everyone involved in the process to be heard. She is a dynamic and entertaining trainer and enjoys incorporating her love of creativity, art, dance, music, travel, and film into her psychotherapy and education work. She currently lives in downtown St. Petersburg with her two sons and her most recent passion is exploring the world of Flamenco dance.

Kitty is Co-Chair of this conference and is a lifelong learner who has been involved in education as a student (PreK à PhD) and professional for fifty years. She has also made a lifelong commitment to community involvement.  Currently she is an active volunteer and past member of the Board of Directors for Girls Scouts of GulfCoast, Florida. She is actively involved in the Creative Education Foundation as a member of and the Secretary for the Board of Trustees and as a long-time leader at CPSI (Creative Problem Solving Institute). Her special passion is the development of CEF YouthWise™ Program. She is the Co-Chairman and driving force for Florida Creativity Weekend. Saturday Key Note, 4:45: Walking the Creative Path
Anthony Hyatt is a violinist and multimedia performance artist from the Washington DC area whose interest is in the role and use of improvisation techniques in the creative process.  As a teacher for the nonprofit Arts for the Aging organization he presents interactive programs of music and movement at local senior citizen centers and he co-directs the senior citizen improv dance company known as Quicksilver.  As a trainer for the National Center for Creative Aging he champions expressive arts and the imagination as tools which enhance healthy aging.  Anthony is a colleague of the Creative Education Foundation who does additional creativity consulting and facilitation work through his own organization which is called Moving Beauty. Sherry Kessel
  
Sherry is currently the Director of Adult Development for the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida and we couldn't do this without her. Providing training opportunities for the over 3,000 adult volunteers is no small task!  She began college majoring in physical education and then completed her degree in Organizational Development/BusinessAdministration. Sherry ‘speaks’ fluent sign language and serves as the signer for her church. She is active in ASTD and as a volunteer with the Manatee Players. For 25 years, Kathy has worked with individuals, groups and organizations as a consultant, facilitator, mediator and trainer; encouraging their fullness and inherent capacity. Her independent practice includes facilitation, training, qualitative research, public speaking, counseling and psychotherapy.  A rich array of work settings and clients – academic, corporate, government and nonprofit – has given Liz many opportunities to “manage polarities.”  She serves as a leader at the Creative Problem Solving Institute, is a graduate of the Mastery Program in Polarity Management™ and is a consultant affiliate of Polarity Management Associates and thinkx intellectual capital.

Co-Chair, Nancy's extensive work with Fortune 500 companies led to Seeds for Change, her program for empowering people in the midst of increasing change. Nancy custom designs programs for organizations in these turbulent times to increase employees' and teams' emotional intelligence, creativity, and peak performance. Nancy also coaches individuals and teaches teleclasses. She is a Trainer for Heartmath, a Charter Associate Partner of George Land's Leadership 2000, a trainer in thinking styles., Foundations of Productivity and is experienced in Leadership and Team Building training. Sunday 9:00: Creating Thought Through the Thought Centers
As VP of Innovation, Susan leads the strategic development and implementation of the TNS Landis innovation offering.  From insight generation and analysis, to creative design and ideation facilitation, to concept writing and testing, Susan collaborates with her insights and marketing strategy counterparts to develop winning ideas for clients. 

Susan received her B.A. in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on interpersonal communication and psychology.  A dynamic speaker and certified in Creative Problem Solving, Susan is in high demand for teaching and speaking at a number of creativity conferences.  She also studied improvisation at Josephine Forsberg’s Players Workshop in Chicago, and hosts a party of fun characters in her creative soul.  In her free time, Susan pursues her passion for music, food, all things Italian, and enjoying creative experiences with her family.

Julia Onnie-Hay

Yoga Sessions
Julia lives in Sarasota and enjoys yoga, volunteering at a local community garden, cooking with friends and studying herbal medicine. Julia is the Girl Scouts of GulfCoast Florida’s Healthy Girls Initiative (HGI) Program Specialist.  She is a holistic health counselor certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.  She earned degrees with honors from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (an affiliate of Columbia University) and New College of Florida.

With a background in not-for-profit administration and leadership development, she is delighted to be working with the Girl Scouts of GulfCoast Florida, Inc. in promoting  holistically healthy lifestyles for girls.

In his role as CEO of the Parent Education Program, Tom oversees a variety of strengths-based programs and a staff of 38. He is a consultant in Creative Problem Solving and Parent Education. He is co-author, with Bea Parnes, of Parenting Playfully, a book for parents of children from pre-natal to age three. He loves to hike, bicycle and kayak. Tom  is the father of two talented young adults Crystal and Gabriel.  Tom participated in the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Creative Education Foundation YouthWise™ Program in South Africa and is a CEF Colleague and recipient of the Leadership Service and Commitment and Distinguished Leader Awards.

TZiPi is a traveling rabbi and woman of the world.  Her deep desire of her heart is to heal the world one heart at a time. She believes that the best teachers model what they teach and she attempts to follow her own wisdom. She integrates her life experiences into her creativity and is committed to a spiritual practice of mindfulness.  She co-creates relationships as a mentor and coach in her private practice and through the Center for Creative Leadership where she has worked as an adjunct for about 20 years as well as through collaborating on life cycle events.  Since becoming ordained as a rabbi several years ago she has begun sharing Hebrew Wisdom by integrating her teachings into her work and play!
 

 
Barbara Rosenthal           Saturday, 9:00: The World Café for Empty Nexters
From Washington, D.C., Barbara Rosenthal, RosenQual, is a qualitative research consultant whose focus group and in-depth interview studies deal with marketing and public policy communications, advertising positioning, branding strategies, new products and services.  She brings to the table unique communication skills acquired in part from teaching group dynamics, interviewing, interpersonal communication, and public speaking in higher education.  She has a BA and MA from the University of Maryland, and has completed post-graduate work in educational psychology.  She has served on the Board of Directors of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association, and is currently on the Board of the Charles E. Smith Life Care Communities in Rockville, MD.  Barbara spends as much time as she can with her five grandchildren, ages 5 and under.

William Sturner, Ph.D., is the author of ten books, father of two children, spoiler of five grandchildren, lover of art and music,  international consultant and trainer, psychotherapist, and very spirited and joyful facilitator.
      * He is a former editor with Sperry-Rand and research assistant to the editor of The Washington Post. 
      * His university appointments have included professorships at three American universities, vice presidencies at two, and visiting professorships at the universities of Buffalo State, Santiago de Compostela, Limerick, Moscow State, Istanbul and Malta. 
     * He is also a Senior Facilitator for the Creative Problem Solving Institute, and has for the last forty years offered training and consulting throughout the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Jennifer is an author, speaker and coach who Jennifer is an author, speaker, workshop facilitator, consultant and coach who brings to her work a passion for helping individuals, groups and organizations fulfill their purpose and potential. Her career began in the theatre and has included work in leadership development, teambuilding,, and career and executive coaching. She has worked in internal and external consulting roles in a variety of industries; her most recent position was Organizational Development Consultant at Walt Disney World.

Jennifer’s recently-published book, Full Color Living,  explores how to move from a “gray” life to a fully-expressed, satisfying, “full color” life. Based on interviews, it offers a roadmap for readers who are not content to just get by – who want nothing less than a life of meaning, fulfillment, and joy. In this session, we will explore the key elements of “full color living” and translate them into strategies for creating vibrant “full color organizations.”

Susan has retired from the federal government. Previously she taught Philosophy and English. She enjoys humor, puzzles and wordplay. Susan is a member of Mensa and Intertel, and is the coordinator for Mensa's Patrick O'Brian Special Interest Group. She is the author of The Port-Wine Sea, co-author of Your Limitless Inventing Machine, and author of The Better Baby, a new book about raising happy geniuses.
