Saturday, 9:00 - Drawing as a Way of Thinking
Alan has been drawing since he could pick up something that made marks
on his bedroom walls. Though his mother didn’t appreciate that, he kept
on drawing for fun and to communicate because he could not actually
speak until his was about 6 years old. Over the next 30 years he became
a licensed award-winning architect, graphic & signage designer, interior
and industrial designer, plus a television news writer and editor before
volunteering one day a week as a gifted education teacher for 22
academically gifted elementary school children. That volunteer work led
him on over 30 year journey as a creative thinking consultant who
wanders the world focusing on developing Cre8ng Communities throughout
entire companies and organizations from their front or rear doors to
their top floor through individual consulting or as part of teams of
creativity colleagues from around the globe. His companies are: Cre8ng
People, Places & Possibilities and CP3 Consultants. Each day when he
wakes up he sees life as “a creative journey, not a guided tour.”
